Win Tix to Elvis Costello in Boston!

The Boston Irish Tourism Association is giving away a pair of tickets to see musicial maestro Elvis Costello, who is coming to Boston's Orpheum Theatre on April 20 with his stellar country-western band, the Sugarcanes.

Since the 1970s, the British-born Costello (aka Declan McManus) has mastered a variety of musical genres, starting with pop, rock, blues and country. His latest album, Secrets, Profance and Sugarcane, features some of the best musicians in Nashville.

Costello is also the host of the popular musical show, The Spectacle on the Sundance Channel.

Born 180 years ago on June 28, 1844, John Boyle O’Reilly helped shape the history or Ireland and America in the late 19th century in powerful ways. Today, O'Reilly’s stature as a seminal figure in Irish and Irish-American history is particularly evident in his beloved birthplace of Dowth, County Meath; in Freemantle, Australia where he was imprisoned; and indeed, throughout the Irish Diaspora.
