Irish Punk Rockers the Pogues Playing Boston's House of Blues on March 11-12



The godfathers of Irish punk music, the Pogues, are returning to Boston this St. Patrick's Day for two shows at the House of Blues on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.).

Tickets are $51-$75 and can be ordered online.

The band is led by crooner Shane MacGowan, who grew up in London and lived for a while in Tipperary.  He is best known for his composition, Fairytale of New York.

The Pogues are being joined on this tour by New Jersey punk rockers Titus Andronicus.
