The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day season with exhibits, concerts and family-friendly activities for residents and visitors.

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the JFK Presidential Library invites the public to download a $2 off coupon, valid March 17-20, 2011. Children ages 12 and under are always admitted free.

Free Irish Music Concert for Children and Families
The New England Irish Harp Orchestra and Réagánta perform Irish music, with harps of many sizes and shapes and traditional Irish instruments. Fitzgerald Family Bible on Display in Museum
The Fitzgerald Family Bible was brought to Boston from Ireland by President Kennedy’s forebears. The front pages contain a handwritten family chronicle dating from 1857, including the birth of John Fitzgerald Kennedy on May 29, 1917. On January 20, 1961, President Kennedy used it to take the oath of office as 35th President of the United States.
JFK Café Specials
In celebration of all things Irish, the JFK Café is serving a special Guinness Beef Stew from March 17- 20. Additional special menu items include Corned Beef and Cabbage on Thursday, March 17 and a mashed potato bar on Friday March 18.
JFK Museum Store Special
The JFK Museum Store features special items for St. Patrick’s Day, including the book One of Ourselves: JFK in Ireland by James Robert Carroll and a framed color photograph of John F. Kennedy in Ireland, by Robert Knudsen. Visitors can also enjoy shopping the many educational and fun items that are available – from Presidential tee shirts to Presidential keepsakes.
General admission to the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library is $12.00. Admission for seniors over the age of 62 and college students with appropriate identification is $10.00, and for children ages 13-17, $9.00. Children ages 12 and under are admitted for free.
